As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and insights into the complexities of international development from a contracting perspective. Pick the Right Program For You:

  • Project Operations and Business Development: Provide support to both project operations and new business, such as, but not limited to proposal development, program logistics, research, and knowledge management.
  • Recruitment: Provide support for new business development through project recruitment. Support may include, but is not limited to, attending meetings, updating documents and candidate information in applicant tracking system, and conducting candidate research for bids and capture planning. Support will be for ongoing development projects in the areas of Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, South Asia, and Latin America.
  • Human Resources: Work alongside the Human Resources department and provide support by updating internal databases, preparing HR-related reports, responding to staff-inquiries regarding policies and benefits, and gather payroll data.
  • Corporate Communications: Work with the Communications Manager and be a part of integral part of the Corporate Service department. This will conduct market research and provide support to administrative tasks, corporate website, social media, and events. 
  • Contracts: The Contracts intern will assist the Corporate Services department with organizing and administering federal award processes, including aiding in current project implementation. They will also help create written and visual content for IDG’s contract process improvement initiatives and handle other administrative award management duties.  

Qualifications:

  • Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study for their desired program.
  • Minimum of 1 relevant internship experience is highly preferred.
  • Organization, attention to detail, consistency, self-starter, and consistency.
  • Strong writing, analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
